What is SCAMPS?
Scituate Community All Day Members Program (SCAMPS) is a program offered through the Scituate Public Schools for children who wish to meet with their peers in an organized, but less formal structure than the regular school day. Activities range from recreation and sports to arts and crafts, games, reading or storytelling, music, films, some field trips and some "free time" to pursue favorite interests and hobbies.
A Teacher/Coordinator is in charge of the program. Aides and community service students will assist. There will be a 13:1 ratio for students.
The program is open to Scituate residents in Grades
K-6 and operates on regularly scheduled school days
beginning with the first day of school in September.
Where applicable, transportation to the program will be provided.
How do I enroll my child?
SCAMPS Registration forms (above) also can be picked up at the Superintendent's Office (in the High School) between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. during the school year. Since the Coordinator does not work in the summer, registration packets can also be picked up at the Superintendent's Office during July and August between 9 a.m-Noon. Completed registrations can be mailed to the SCAMPS Coordinator, Scituate Public Schools, 606 Chief Justice Cushing Highway, Scituate, MA 02066.
A child may not start in SCAMPS until the proper information is completed by the parent/guardian and approved by the Coordinator.
Enrollment is limited and places will be filled on a first-come basis, with preference given for full-time five days enrollment.
A child may be enrolled for five, four, three, two or one day programs, depending on his/her need and choice.

TRANSPORTATION FEE
Since SCAMPS is a self-supporting program, fees remain the same regardless of absence or times children are dismissed. See handbook (above.)
There will be an additional fee of $1.00 per minute charge for any time beyond the program ending time. Parents should make contingency plans for cases of emergency.
FAMILY DISCOUNT POLICY
For children attending the same number of days per week, tuition for the first child would be 100%; the second child at 75%; and the third child at 50%.
For children attending a different number of days per week, tuition for the child attending the most number of days would be at 100%; the next highest number of days at 75%; and additional child at 50%.
